Visions

In the darkened sky I see
visions of eternity,
Hope and dreams of life to come,
Living in eternal sun.

I stand transfixed at the wonder,
The stars that shine so bright,
The heavenly breeze that's blowing
Somewhere in the night.

One step beyond the clouds above
Awaits a sceptered isle of love,
The rustle of an angel's wings:
Hush, I hear a bird that sings!

Floating gently to that light
My soul has taken flight:
I know at last, I've reached my goal,
For I'm in paradise.
