Hiding in the Lavender

HIDING IN THE LAVENDER, ONE BRIGHT AND SUNNY DAY
I SPIED A LITTLE BUTTERFLY, SO HAPPY IN HER PLAY.
HER WINGS WERE LIKE SOFT VELVET, THEY HAD A GOLDEN SHEEN
IT REALLY WAS THE PRETTIEST BUTTERFLY,  I HAD EVER SEEN.

SHE FLUTTERED IN AND OUT THE FLOWERS, NOT A CARE HAD SHE
I SAT AND WATCHED HER QUIETLY AND WONDERED COULD SHE SEE ME
A DRAGON FLY FLEW ROUND ME, AND SETTLED ON MY ARM
THE BUTTERFLY TOOK NO NOTICE, JUST KEEPING OUT OF HARM.

THE WORLD IS FULL OF WONDERS, SUCH BEAUTY TO THE EYES.
LITTLE CREATURES LIVING, BENEATH GODS BLUE,BLUE SKY.
IF EVER YOU SHOULD PASS THIS WAY, TAKE A LITTLE PEEK.
MAYBE ALL THE BUTTERFLIES WILL BE PLAYING HIDE AND SEEK..
